HearBuilder® Following Directions/Clark County Pilot
A study involving 54 preschool through fifth grade students in Clark County School District (Las Vegas, NV) found students achieved statistically significant gains in their abilities to follow oral directions after using HearBuilder Following Directions.
Participating students:
  • Used the software for 60 minutes per week for a minimum of eight weeks
  • Were assessed using the online 63-item HearBuilder Following Directions Inventory
  • Showed statistically significant improvement (p <.001) in their pre and post scores
  • Had an average raw score increase of 9.8 points
The speech-language pathologists overseeing the pilot were asked to complete a survey at the end of the study; all of the responding SLPs reported that the software was easy to use and that they would recommend it to a colleague.
